But what should we do for those for whom suspended and suspended ceilings are too expensive, foam tiles and paints do not suit their appearance, and whitewashing seems an outdated anachronism? The answer is simple: pay attention to the ceiling wallpaper. What is ceiling wallpaper? In general, there are two types of coverings that can be called ceiling wallpaper. Firstly, this is a domestic development, sold under the brand name “embossed wallpaper”. This coating is distributed in the form of rolls, like wall wallpaper. Usually the width of such a cut is about 50 cm. The color of such wallpaper is always white, but the texture can be anything. The main advantage of domestic ceiling wallpaper is the fact that they perfectly hide almost any shortcomings of the main ceiling. In addition, covering the ceiling with such wallpaper is quite simple and does not lead to the appearance of a large amount of construction waste, as happens when using whitewash or drywall. But plasterboard sheets cannot stop the flood, reduce the height of the room, and are subject to deformation and loss of original color. It is not recommended to install sheets in new houses, because after shrinkage they may crack and you will have to re-do the ceiling.

Ceiling decoration and design: beams on the ceiling

It is very rare to find ceilings decorated with beams . This solution is not suitable for every interior. Beamed ceilings fit perfectly into country, Provence and colonial style interiors. At the same time, the beams can be deliberately rough and artificially aged.
