Placing a TV in the living room
. The large flat screen looks stylish and does not overload the design of the living room, and the TV will fit perfectly into the interior of any apartment.
Location
. Do you remember when you were a child, your parents scolded you for watching cartoons too closely? Fortunately, modern models are designed in such a way that you can place the TV in the living room even close to the sofa. The main thing is that your gaze covers the entire picture at once. It doesn’t matter whether your room has a sofa, ottoman or comfortable armchairs: the TV in the living room design will logically be placed against the wall opposite the seating area.
Cabinet or bracket?
Hang the TV in the living room on a bracket if you want more lightness, or place it on a cabinet - there is no universal rule here. What you really need to take care of are the wires. Even the most stylish interior design can easily be ruined by hanging and protruding cables. A pre-provided cable channel will help to cope with this problem. It will hide all the imperfections, and the wires will not disturb the harmony of the living room interior with the TV.
Height from floor
. The specific height of your TV may vary depending on the height of your sofa or personal preference. At the same time, there is a universal rule: for comfortable viewing, the distance from the floor to the center of the screen should correspond to the eye level of a sitting person and be 100-120 cm.
Diagonal size
. Choose appliances depending on your budget and room size. But if in your design the TV will be the defining element on the living room wall, then its diagonal should be at least 50″. Otherwise, you will be left with the feeling of an empty, bare wall.
Film projector as an alternative
. The projector will be an excellent alternative to a TV in the design of the living room if the walls of your room are white or light beige without visible relief. In other cases, you cannot do without a special screen. Budget options will have to be opened manually every time you want to watch a movie. More expensive screens operate from a control panel. The projector itself is mounted on the opposite wall and can be removable or permanent. Finally, when choosing this alternative, you will have to take care of the curtains. If you are going to organize movie shows not only in the dark, you cannot do without thick blackout curtains. Without them, the picture on the screen will be dull and faded. Be sure to hide the wires from the projector in cable channels!

Sofa seat
in the design of a living room with TV
When thinking about the design of a living room with a TV, make a schematic sketch
. This will save you from unexpected inconsistencies and help you assess the situation from the outside. Show the layout, location of windows, doors and future furniture on the diagram, maintaining the scale.
Draw an imaginary line from window to door
. This is a place where there are drafts, which means that placing a sofa here is not safe for health.
The location of the sofa in the living room
. Determine the main function of your sofa. Are you going to watch TV in the living room every night? Maybe guests will often spend the night on the sofa? Depending on the role, its place in the interior may change. Take a look at some layout ideas:
1. The ideal location in which the furniture performs its function to the maximum: a sofa in the living room opposite the TV or diagonally from the door. Encourages you to sit down and relax.
2. A good solution for those whose guests like to stay until the morning is a sofa near the door. It is hidden behind a wall, with a view of the TV from the door. With this arrangement, the living room of your two- or three-room apartment retains a feeling of comfort.
3. If the sofa is corner, then the best place for it is at the end of the room farthest from the entrance. Thus, visually it will fit into the natural boundaries of the room, will not overload the interior of the living room with a TV, and you will maintain a feeling of spaciousness.
How to combine a fireplace with a TV in the living room
A fireplace is a design item, and a TV is a modern piece of technology. According to the rules of the interior, a TV does not go well with a fireplace. The optimal solution for arranging a fireplace is to place it in line with the TV.
Of course, if possible, it is best to plan the guest room interior without a TV. Otherwise, these two interior items can be combined, adhering to the following rules:
- You cannot place the TV on the opposite side of the fireplace, because fire flames (natural or simulated) will create glare. When the guest room is narrow, the heat radiating from the fireplace harms the pixels.
- Avoid placing the TV above the fireplace. After all, it’s inconvenient to watch a program while sitting near a hot fireplace. It is best to place the TV on the wall adjacent to the fireplace. It is good to use textile elements in the interior, for example, rugs, rugs, fur blankets.
Correct opening of the door in the living room
In or out?
Opening the door in the living room
. You can “hide” the door using the right color: if the color of the door and the walls match, then the exit will become part of the single space of the living room with the TV and will not attract attention. Choose a model without platbands; they will not create unnecessary relief along the edges and will help complete the main task.
When installing a door, make sure that it opens easily and does not interfere with free access to and from the living room. If the door intersects with furniture when opening and there is no way to avoid this, consider alternative options. Today on the market there are models of sliding compartment doors and folding “book” doors. They are especially good when you have to save useful space.
See what options designers offer:
1. Not the worst design option. When opening the door, you can hit the cabinet doors, but the saving of space in the apartment is obvious: the door opens inward, and not into the corridor, where there is not too much space anyway.
2. Bad choice: when the door swings open, it blocks the free space. It is better to change direction or choose one of the alternatives described above.
3. Another unsuccessful design option, but now the door “eats up” space not in the living room itself, but in the corridor. If the renovation or layout does not allow for a change in direction, it would be better to install a folding accordion door or sliding doors.
4. Good location. The door opens without interfering with entry and exit, and does not take up much space either in the hallway or in the living room.

Furniture in the living room
Furniture in the living room
. On the one hand, the chair matches the style of the restrained classic design of the living room. On the other hand, the bright blue color creates the necessary accent, and the interior no longer seems boring.
- Armchair.
A design studio often suggests making an armchair the main accent of the living room interior. Play with colors and styles. For example, a baroque armchair in a minimalist living room will definitely attract attention. Don't like radical solutions? Choose an armchair in the same style, but in a contrasting shade, for your two-room apartment. The size and model should meet your ideas about comfort. You can climb into a wide, soft chair with your feet covered with a blanket. The recliner model with a reclining backrest is convenient not only to relax, but also to take a nap. A more formal design with a high back and armrests is suitable if you don’t plan to sit in a chair for a long time watching TV in the living room. - TV stand.
In the past, a living room and a TV always meant a cabinet. Now wide, massive TV cabinets have sunk into oblivion along with convex TVs, tape recorders and cassettes that took up a lot of space. A light narrow shelf or a combined cabinet-rack is a suitable solution for a modern two-room apartment. - Coffee table.
A coffee table of original design will not only create coziness and decorate the living room. It can also easily become an art object, you just have to find a suitable option. Connoisseurs of saving space will love the transforming table. It easily turns into a high and wide table for entertaining guests. - Side tables.
The solution for the interior of a small living room with a TV is a side table. It takes up less space than a regular one, easily moves from sofa to armchair, and at the same time successfully copes with its function. A couple of books, a cup of coffee or a candy bowl will fit on it. - Rack.
A useful find, no matter what apartment interior you choose. The rack is your personal exhibition. Books, small useful items, souvenirs, figurines, just cute things: fill it with things that make you feel positive. At the same time, it is important to observe the measure and not clutter the shelves. If the layout of the room requires zoning, the rack will do the job perfectly. Unlike dense screens and additional walls, it allows light to pass through and does not weigh down the space. - Additional storage cabinet.
The wide room has enough space not only for organizing relaxation. Place the sofa closer to the center of the living room with the TV, and use the freed up space for a closet. In Moscow, apartments are often rented with construction defects. Turn them to your advantage: niches and partitions can also be used to store things. - Fireplace.
We are, of course, talking about electric fireplaces. Modern models can perform many functions at once. First of all, the fireplace is beautiful. Secondly, in the cold season it replaces heaters. Thirdly, some models can also work as humidifiers, which is especially important in winter, when batteries dry out the air. If you decide that you need a fireplace, you will have to choose from three main styles: antique, classic and modern. The size of the fireplace also matters, it depends on the size of the room and the height of the ceilings. The designer's advice will help you choose the appropriate option and not spoil the overall style of the living room.
Fireplace in a small living room
In city apartments there is hardly enough space for furniture, but installing a fireplace is quite possible thanks to these tips:
- Let the overall color of the walls be light in order to visually expand the space. Avoid using bright, colorful wallpaper and give preference to laconic shades like white, beige, cream, lavender and other neutrals.
- In a small apartment, modern designs look good, allowing the use of glossy surfaces and glass furniture that does not crowd the space and visually enriches it.
- Do not furnish walls around the perimeter, so as not to hide the space and not create a typical interior. Place the sofa one and a half or a couple meters from the fireplace and TV in free space, and, if possible, install a narrow chest of drawers or table behind it.
- For an apartment, select a fireplace under the TV according to the size of the room: if the living room is large or too spacious, opt for a large-sized model; if, on the contrary, the room is modest, give preference to small models of an electric or bio-fireplace.
Kitchen + living room
If you have a tiny kitchen and a small living room, try combining them. This way you will get a spacious and bright kitchen-living room. This option is not suitable for everyone, but lately it has become more and more fans.
Kitchen-living room design
. When placing accents in the interior of a modern kitchen-living room, do not be modest, choose several color shades at once.
As a result of combining the rooms, we will get a space with two windows, which means there will be more light and air. There will also be a dining area. To choose the right dining table for her, count on at least 70 cm per person. When there is not enough space for a full table, options with a folding transforming table or a bar counter will come to the rescue. By the way, the latter can visually separate the kitchen and living room areas.
Ideas for the kitchen-living room
Bedroom + living room
The option of combining a living room with a bedroom is less common. This solution will not suit everyone. Still, you want privacy in the bedroom, and the living room is a room where guests often visit. It is better for young owners of small apartments to take a closer look at this redevelopment option. Families with two- and three-room apartments should avoid this option. Do you want to zone the space without losing lighting and functionality? Use a rack. It will not only divide the room, but also help place books and souvenirs.
Bedroom design with living room
. See how you can successfully combine a bedroom and a living room in a one-room apartment. The rack is used for zoning the room.
Living room + office
Unless you are the happy owner of a spacious three-room apartment, then most likely you will not be able to allocate a separate room for an office. Most often, a desktop is placed in the living room or bedroom. When choosing a table and its location, be guided by how often you will need it for work. Remember that a desktop computer requires a more spacious workspace than a laptop (on average 60-70 cm deep), and also take care of sockets and cable channels in advance during repairs.
Living room design
. An example of a project with a bright accent on a chair. A small desk and shelves match the color of the wall and do not attract attention to themselves.
Take a look at several options for placing a desk in your living room.
1. If you don’t use your desk for work very often, then it’s best to make it invisible through color scheme or zoning. For example, you can choose a tabletop that matches the color of the walls, hide your workplace behind a screen, or disguise it with a shelving unit.
2. If a freelancer needs a large desk for a desktop computer, an extended window sill would be an ideal option. A tabletop the width of the room visually pushes the walls apart. This excellent solution will adjust the proportions of the living room in the shape of an elongated rectangle.
3. For creative people and schoolchildren, a desk built into a closet is suitable. The folding door also serves as a tabletop. Firstly, it is a way to quickly hide creative clutter from prying eyes, maintaining the illusion of cleanliness. Secondly, it also saves space.

Air conditioner
in the living room with TV
How to position the air conditioner so that it fits well into the interior of the living room? First of all, it is important to place it correctly. You cannot hang the air conditioner above a sofa or chair where people often sit. Simply moving it to the far end of the room won’t work either: you’ll have to trench the wall from the window to the mounting point, and this is quite expensive.
Air conditioner indoor unit
difficult to fit into the interior. A white air conditioner hung on a white wall attracts the least attention.
Most often, a design project involves one of the following options for the location of the air conditioner:
1. Air conditioning above the front door. Excellent location, although it requires cutting for communications.
2. The indoor unit is not far from the window. Unlike the first option, you will have to cut less, which means this option is more economical. The disadvantage is that cooled air blows onto the chair.
3. The air conditioner is located in the most active area of the room. With this TV living room design, cold air hits people directly.
Basic principles of installation
Most often, the safest designs, false fireplaces, are used.
When installing a TV and a fireplace in the same room, remember a few rules:
- do not place the fireplace near the outer wall of the house (do not heat the street);
- fix the plasma at a sufficient distance from the fire (little secret: a wide mantelpiece will protect the TV from fire);
- if the room is small, give preference to a gas or electric fireplace;
- the room where they will be located must be well ventilated;
- the place of fire and plasma must be the same size, otherwise the overall composition will not look entirely successful;
- if the design of the fireplace and the room as a whole is made in light colors, surround the dark panel with paintings so that the screen on the wall does not look like a dark spot;
- upholstered furniture around the fireplace and plasma is placed symmetrically (ideal when the sofa is complemented by two soft armchairs);
- there is no need to brightly decorate the hearth so that it does not stand out against the background of the panel (these two elements should be in harmony with each other).
A fireplace and plasma panel correctly integrated into the interior of the room create a unique relaxing atmosphere, bringing a feeling of warmth and comfort into the house.
Who doesn’t want to relax in front of the fireplace after a hard day at work and while away the evening watching their favorite TV shows? However, you may have heard statements against placing these things next to each other. Is it possible to hang a TV above the fireplace, what ideas are there for increasing safety, and how does this solution look in the living room interior? Find out further in this article.
In most homes, a fireplace is an architectural feature and a central design element, around which upholstered furniture is placed for relaxation and gatherings with the whole family. The TV plays a similar role in the living room, so it is important that it is also within sight of the sofa and armchairs.
But is it possible to hang a TV directly above the fireplace? First, let's look at the main arguments against:
- Great strain on the neck. In 90% of cases, the TV is placed too high above the fireplace, which is why you have to raise your chin to watch programs.
- Wiring. If you have a traditional fireplace in your living room with a brick or masonry chimney, then hiding the wires and cables hanging from the TV will be quite problematic.
- Exposure to heat can be damaging to your TV.
If you don’t hang the TV above the fireplace, then how can you place it? Look at the photo:
And yet, many designers prefer to place a fireplace under the TV, as you will see by looking at the interior photos in this article. To maintain the safety and beauty of the design, they adhere to the following rules:
- The TV screen should be installed at a height of 150−170 cm above the floor with a distance from the sofa of 160−170 cm. This is the average for modern plasmas with a diameter of up to 42 inches. The higher the TV is hung and the larger its screen, the farther the upholstered furniture should be from it.
3. Potential overheating issues are addressed while maintaining safe temperatures. For most modern TVs, the limit is 45 degrees Celsius. If you are concerned that the fireplace will not damage your expensive plasma, then install a small thermometer next to it and make sure that its reading does not reach a critical level. A wide mantel (more than 36cm) is also a good way to protect your TV.
Among other things, the TV and fireplace should complement each other compositionally and have approximately the same dimensions. We advise you to take advantage of the great idea with a hidden TV above the fireplace. This option will allow you to concentrate all your attention on the flames of the fire, and you definitely won’t want to pick up the remote control.
Sockets
in living room design
When you calculate the number and location of outlets, the interior design should already be thought out. At least the position of furniture, appliances and stationary lamps (floor lamps and table lamps). The average number of outlets for a living room with a TV is about 15. Decide where the set-top box, game console, and sound system will be located. It is convenient to hide the sockets behind the TV screen or TV stand. If the design project involves the presence of a fireplace, you can also place 2-3 sockets behind it. Don't forget about the Christmas tree. The intended installation location should have enough sockets for electric lights.

Lighting
in the living room
Light decides! It is its brightness and shade that changes our feeling of the room: whether it is cozy, spacious or dark and uninviting. Consider several options for lighting a living room with a TV for different situations: a quiet evening relaxation, receiving guests, watching a movie.
Living room lighting
. The loft style in the interior of this living room is set by a brick wall, and several lamps of different types support it.
Lamps
. When choosing lamps, take into account the style of the interior. When decorating a living room with a TV, it is fashionable to combine lighting fixtures of different sizes and functionality, united by one style. In the living room, it is best to install three types of lighting (spot, local and intimate), which, with a click, will turn a bright, light room for meeting friends into a cozy corner for relaxation.
overhead light
. The main type of lighting, the so-called overhead light, is represented by spotlights (also called work lights) and a chandelier. A spectacular chandelier can perform not only its main function, but also be an important part of the design, setting the accent of the interior of your living room with a TV.
Table lamps, floor lamps and sconces are the so-called local light
. However, it should be noted that sconces rarely fit into modern design. Try replacing them with a pair of stylish lamps.
Intimate light
. Elements of dim light not only illuminate the room, but rather create an atmosphere of romance and comfort. If guests stay overnight, then interior garlands with their warm, even light can serve as night lights.
Candles
. Large, single-color candles look most interesting in interior design. Moreover, they can be of different diameters and heights. White color and matte finish are the perfect combo for most living rooms.
Zoning
. United rooms are divided into zones not only by shelving and screens. Light often comes to the aid of designers. In the kitchen-living room, be sure to hang several lamps above the table. This rule works for both the bar counter and the classic dining table. For the working kitchen area, also choose task lighting. Use standard lighting techniques in the living area: a combination of overhead lighting and local lighting in the form of floor lamps and lamps.
Installation Basics
Before installing a fireplace and TV, you need to familiarize yourself with some rules: it is not recommended to place the fireplace near external walls, because
There is no need to heat the street. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully select a place to place the fireplace. You cannot place rugs near the fireplace, regardless of its type. The same goes for furniture placement. The TV must be kept at a sufficient distance from open flames. The room must have good ventilation and be ventilated regularly. Be sure to take into account the dimensions of the purchased fireplace and their compliance with the footage of the room where it will be installed. To ensure that the fireplace fits perfectly into the interior of the living room, you need to consider decorative elements for its decoration. This also applies to TV.
Whatever type of fireplace is chosen, it will definitely bring warmth and comfort to the house and create a favorable, relaxing atmosphere.
The living room is the main room in the house. This is where evenings with family and discussions of pressing issues take place. This is where friends meet on the weekends. This is where the owners of the house receive guests.
A fireplace is a family hearth. It is pleasant to drink tea in front of it on long winter evenings and enjoy the silence after a hard day. A flame is something you can look at endlessly. And if you don’t have the opportunity to contemplate all the beauty with your own eyes and enjoy natural fire, then an electric fireplace will come to the rescue.

If you remember the Middle Ages, you will notice one detail - the fireplace, even in the emptiest castle, created an atmosphere of comfort and warmth. Even the gray and dark tones of natural stone became less boring. So a fireplace is a winning solution for any interior.
And TV is generally the best friend of the family. Watching a movie together or simply enjoying an interesting movie alone is an important part of life and relaxation for every family member.
Combining these two items - a fireplace and a TV - in the living room is an indicator of taste and style. If you want to create an interior that will attract everyone, then the right combination of a fireplace and a TV is the key to success.
A real fireplace with a live fire is a rather complex design. It is almost impossible to install such a structure in a modern apartment. An electric fireplace in the living room can be installed at any time and anywhere. Its design is much simpler, but nevertheless more effective. Unlike a fireplace, the electric version can heat a room in a very short time.
The main heating elements are heating elements. For quite a long time, metal spirals were used in this capacity. Modern ceramic heating elements last much longer, dry the air less, and consume less electricity. Place the elements at the top or bottom of the fireplace. To increase heating efficiency, the device is equipped with a fan.
The second design element is design. In this case, this role is played not only by the portal, but also by an imitation of the hearth. In the simplest case, the “wood or coal” in the firebox is made of plastic. The role of flames is played by pieces of red silk. Regular incandescent lamps illuminate the wood, and a weak fan causes the fabric to move and imitate a living flame.

The hearth will look much more realistic if you use modern technology. Multi-colored diodes illuminate a cloud of water vapor, making the illusion of tongues of fire much more realistic. Many models are equipped with speakers: they provide the sound of crackling firewood.
The photo shows a living room with an electric fireplace.
Although an electric fireplace does not require a chimney, certain restrictions are also observed during installation. Thus, installing a fireplace, especially a powerful one, is allowed only in rooms with good ventilation. The fireplace burns oxygen, like any other heating element, and this is harmful to health.
Modern style in the living room
The modern design style of a living room with a TV is universal, combining minimalism and versatility. It is suitable for both spacious and small spaces.
Modern living room design
. Clarity of lines and the presence of strict patterns are the hallmarks of modern style.
Signs of style
. Modern style is easy to recognize by its characteristic colors. It is almost always presented in monochrome shades (black, gray, white) combined with bright accents. If you do without them, the interior of the living room with TV will become faceless and boring. In addition to color accents, designers use large, bright posters and paintings in the same style. There shouldn't be a lot of decor. As already mentioned, modern style is characterized by minimalism. Furniture must meet two parameters: convenience and simplicity.

High classics include fireplace portals framed with natural stone, decorated with forged, carved elements, stucco molding or semi-columns. Plasma TVs are often built into expensive furniture or decorated with paintings using graceful moldings or baguettes.
Provence
Modest and elegant fireplace models in light, white or milky tones, with light and unobtrusive decor, in the form of small monograms or forged elements, sit especially well next to compact TV panels. This composition will look complete and fit harmoniously into the cozy and calm Provence.
Country
Country music is characterized by both miniature and full-fledged large fireplaces in the form of a stove, with a thoughtful design and design. If you correctly combine the hearth and TV device, they will form a more holistic perception of the country-style living room.

Neoclassical style in the living room
Many people turn to an interior designer and ask to decorate a room in a neoclassical style. This is a kind of modern take on the classic design of an apartment. It is distinguished by a large number of decorative elements. Examples include moldings on walls and ceilings, carved lamps, and “carriage tie” on upholstered furniture. The colors in the neoclassical style are pastel, soft.

Colors
Beige color in the design of a living room with a TV
Bright living rooms with loud accent colors, original design projects using various shades and a dark leading color are by no means uncommon when developing apartment design. There is no rule according to which a living room with a TV must be bright, although for a number of reasons light colors predominate in modern designs. In this article we will focus on these options as the most common.
Beige visually expands the space
. Today apartments are most often small. If this is your situation, follow the designer's advice: beige can fix the problem.
Compatibility
. The compatibility of beige color with almost any other color makes it universal. It gives you freedom in choosing furniture and decorative elements: no matter what shade you use in the interior of the apartment, beige will be combined with each of them.
Create an atmosphere of warmth and comfort
. Beige shades do not irritate the eyes and you don’t get tired of them. This design does not become boring, and it can be diluted with bright decorative elements.
Beige color in the living room
. Warm shades of beige are more common in classic interiors. Interior designers in a modern style prefer cooler tones.

Gray color in the living room
. Looking for a neutral color for your modern living room? Choose grey!
Carelessly using colors in your TV living room design can be a serious mistake. Deep dark colors absorb light. They can make an already small room very small and gloomy. An abundance of white will bring medical sterility. When choosing a harmonious neutral color, it is better to choose gray. It goes well with many bright and delicate shades, does not irritate or tire the eyes.

Types of electric fireplaces by location in the interior
In most cases, the area of the apartment in multi-storey buildings is modest in size. That is why it is advisable for owners to use an electric fireplace in the interior, as the simplest option, wall-mounted or, even better, corner-mounted. Thanks to this approach, it will be possible to save useful space and calmly equip a recreation area.
In modern stores you can find models that run on biofuel; they can also be installed in an apartment without additional permission. These products are characterized by an increased level of safety, which is important for families with children and animals. To make the design as functional and useful as possible, it is best to install a fireplace under the TV in the living room, then the hearth will act as a kind of cabinet.
Modern bright interior
Electric stove options are an imitation of a real flame. You can consider a more modern biofuel system, where the fire is real, but specific. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to install a working fireplace in the living room of an apartment due to the technical features of the building. It is also better to avoid a conventional wood-burning fireplace, since it is not entirely convenient to store coals and logs in a small room.
When a place for a TV and a fireplace in the apartment is chosen, the owners will have to spend a lot of time thinking about the correct arrangement of furniture elements. Depending on the solution, the room can be either harmonious and functional, where two devices do not conflict with each other, or, on the contrary, seem excessively cluttered.
The simplicity of the device provides another major advantage of electric fireplaces: the ability to install anywhere in the team.

Products are classified first according to the method of installation:
- built-in - the structure is built into a wall or even furniture. It is impossible to change its position without dismantling the walls. Such models are very impressive, but their installation takes time;
- stationary - placed in a niche or located near a wall, for example. While not fully portable, they still allow for transfer to another location;
- mobile – a model initially designed for constant change of location. Its dimensions are, as a rule, modest, its weight is small, but the highest demands are placed on its design: after all, the product is visible from all sides.

The installation method limits placement in a certain way.
Another classification of fireplaces is related to this - according to the method of location:
- wall-mounted - a typical design that is placed along the wall and imitates a real hearth with the greatest accuracy. As a rule, these are stationary massive models with richly decorated portals. Can be built into the wall. This solution is most often used in modern interiors;
- recessed - essentially a modification of the wall one. This model requires a niche. After installation, only the decorative frame and imitation of the firebox remain visible;
- hanging - small flat models that are mounted on the wall. Often they are purely decorative and do not heat the room;
- Corner electric fireplaces are becoming more and more common in living room interiors. The corner of the room is difficult to use, and this location of the hearth solves 2 problems at once. The design can be either stationary or built-in. Such a hearth can be designed in a variety of ways, especially since placement between two walls allows you to construct both symmetrical and asymmetrical models of different configurations;

- double-sided – built-in fireplace. The fireplace is placed in the interior wall or partition in such a way as to provide a view of the “flame” from both sides. A very effective and interesting solution, but only allowed in a modern interior;
- island - portable or stationary model with a panoramic view of the “fire”. You can place it in the center of the living room, near the TV, or in the center of the recreation area.

Other styles
The design of a fireplace in the interior of other styles is also worth briefly considering:
- High tech. Built-in, flat electric fireplace. No volumetric framing, carved figures or shapes are needed. Metal molding or glass will do.
2. Scandinavian. In Scandi, a regular cast iron firebox will do. As a rule, they are made black, which already creates an accent.
3. Loft. Rough brick framing is a good option. In this case, the stone can be decorative.
