Marble floors and marble stairs will create a palace atmosphere

Marble is back in fashion again, conquering the world of interior design with its unique texture, variety of shades, formats and forms of application in the home. The use of marble in the form of individual elements of cabinet furniture, as well as in the design of table lamps and floor lamps, decorative items and accessories has recently become especially popular.

Designers love to use marble because it looks stylish, dignified and expensive in the interior. Because it fits organically into modern and minimalist design projects, as well as into interiors in the Art Deco, Neoclassical, and Baroque styles.

Artistic carved marble floor

By far the most beautiful among the options described are artistic carved marble floors. Such a floor is sometimes a work of art and almost always another masterpiece. Such a floor, naturally, is the most expensive because it involves not only an abundance of selected materials, but also preliminary preparation work. Artists and designers play the first role, creating the design and style of the future floor. In this case, numerous corrections and re-planning of the drawings cannot be ruled out in accordance with the wishes of the customer, and only after approval of the preliminary part do stone cutting specialists begin work. The prepared drawing is sent to a computer of special equipment and the sketches are turned into finished patterns. Precise cutouts for the designs are also made in the main part of the future coating. Here it is important to almost completely eliminate gaps between the main part of the stone and the mounted samples. Next, the fragments are glued into the base. The basis can be either tiles of various sizes or slabs. The last thing to do is the installers. It should be noted here that in this case, installation of the floor by third parties is completely excluded. It is better to carry out the entire cycle of work from modeling to installation using the services of one company.

Installation of a finished marble panel into the floor

An easier way to create a carved floor is to mount ready-made panels or rosettes into the surface.

Usually panels and rosettes are combined into one category of products, but in fact they are completely different decorative elements. The panel has a square or rectangular shape. We create panels of two types:

  • decorative;
  • from living stone.

A decorative panel consists of a large base on which decorative elements are applied in the required quantity. A panel made of living stone can combine several materials at once - marble, granite, onyx, slate and others. In such a panel you can realize any complete logical story, depict a logo or coat of arms.

The rosette is almost identical to the panel, but has a round or oval shape. There are also some differences in their application. Thus, panels can be both floor and wall, while sockets look better on the floor. They seem to crown a carved floor. Sometimes both panels and rosettes can be combined in one carved floor composition.

Marble in the bathroom interior

The qualities of this natural stone allow it to be widely used in bathroom interiors. Countertops, sinks, and window sills are made from it. Marble tiles are used to lay the floor, walls, and shower area. The combination of natural stone with metal and glass looks elegant and expensive. For a small bathroom, it is better to choose light-colored stone, adding a little dark marble for a contrasting finish. If the selected material is almost monochromatic, you can cut it into small fragments and lay them out using the mosaic technique. This finishing technology will significantly enliven a monochromatic interior.
