Artistic painting of facades and walls

Art painting styles

The hand-painted furniture service will refresh your interior. It can be carried out in various styles:

  • Classic. This is symmetry, proportionality and geometricity in every stroke of the artist.
  • Baroque. This style is characterized by the presence of large-scale and complex drawings. Rich colors and deep patterns are used here, and characters from mythology are often depicted.
  • Rococo. This is simplicity and elegance. In this style, artists depict various delicate images - flowers in pastel colors, birds, animals, modest patterns.

This is not the entire list of artistic styles. Many craftsmen prefer not to deviate from the Provence - the most widespread and in demand at present. It is characterized by the presence of floral images, delicate shades, silver and gold paints. Furniture painting in Provence style is done using the antique technique. The applied colors are rubbed out, weak brightness of tones, artificial creation of abrasions and cracks are encouraged.

Before artistic painting of furniture is carried out, it must be prepared. This is done for the convenient creation of drawings on an ideal surface, as well as the durability of the applied images. First, the master removes the old paint and varnish, and then carefully sands the area of the future design.

Popular painting options

The most common option is simple decorative painting of furniture. Basically this is the application of small elements, ornaments or repeating patterns. For a simple drawing, paint of one color is used, and to simplify the process, templates or stencils are used for painting. This type of decoration is suitable for modern furniture. Gilding is widespread. This type of painting is typical for interiors in classical styles. Curly elements of furniture decoration are decorated with gold.

A more complex option is artistic painting. This is quite a painstaking work; all stages of the bark are performed manually, including the smallest details. Painting on furniture can be in the form of a pattern or a small fragment, or it can also be a complex three-dimensional design. Author's works are especially valued.

A special place is occupied by the production of antique interior items. This also includes the restoration of old furniture. Various painting techniques and styles are used in the work. Surfaces and finishing elements are subjected to “aging” in various ways. Antiques are very popular among wealthy people and collectors. Usually this type of decoration is made to order.

Techniques and techniques

In addition, thanks to the handmade work of the master, forged furniture transforms the overall design of the rooms. It is simply impossible not to notice and appreciate such luxury!

Masters use certain techniques to carry out high-quality painting of interior items:

Print

A technique in which a design is applied with a stamp prepared in advance.

Painting

The master paints with various paints and then seals it with varnish.

Painting with acrylic paints for beginners

The pattern of the circular pattern must first be reduced or enlarged so that the design fits perfectly on the tabletop. Primer is a completely black coating of acrylic paints on the treated surface (it is better to sand it with fine sandpaper). This is done so that the paints (acrylic) are not absorbed into the wood, but remain on the surface.

After this, you need to leave the work so that it dries well. Then transfer the pattern to the tabletop.

The further process of work is clearly visible in the figure below. You need to draw a tulip flower, then the highlights on its petals, then come the leaves, starting from the inner ones and ending with the outer ones. The colors chosen for painting are muted.

Of course, such a table looks good in the appropriate setting; the design must be carefully selected. A vase in the same Art Nouveau style with tulips and greenish curtains suits our decorative painted piece of furniture amazingly.

Styles and painting

Images on kitchen walls and ceilings must correspond to the style directions of the interior. It is very important that they correspond to each other without conflicting.

Classic painting is distinguished by restraint and harmony. It contains elements of stucco and sculptures, landscapes and still lifes. Classic fits perfectly into large kitchens, but to prevent the room from turning into a museum exhibit, you should exercise restraint, not forgetting about good taste.

Baroque suggests luxurious furnishings and, again, spaciousness. The painting is distinguished by ornate patterns, volume and scope. The play of light and shadow, bright colors and luxury are welcomed here.

Art Nouveau images feature elves and mermaids, unevenly curved stems of strange plants and floral patterns. The color scheme involves the use of natural shades. Art Nouveau painting is distinguished by rationalism, which does not affect grace.

“Cartoon” cooks, Arabic script, eclectic drawings, and ornamental patterns may appear in the kitchen. High-quality wall painting requires considerable experience. With its help, you can create an unusual interior, perform zoning and create an exclusive kitchen interior.

We are not supporters of conservative views on decorating the kitchen interior: not only still lifes of vegetables and fruits can be painted on its walls, but your wildest ideas can be embodied. View images of kitchens with airbrushing done by our artists, and the photos will help you see it.

Hello, dear guests!
The kitchen is the embodiment of the well-being of the home, say followers of the ancient teachings of Feng Shui. The warmer, more comfortable and welcoming it is, the healthier and happier your family will be. Each science has its own rules, today I want to talk about how to properly arrange a kitchen using Feng Shui. The main taboo for the kitchen, according to Feng Shui, is clutter, garbage and unnecessary things cluttering up the space. Surprisingly, but true: all this can manifest itself as clutter in your life and even excess weight. The first thing you should tackle if you want to put things in order in your own life is cleaning your kitchen cabinets. Organize a storage system that is convenient for you. And remove anything from your countertop that you don't use every day. According to Feng Shui, it is better to immediately throw cracked cups and plates with chipped edges into the trash. In a kitchen with good Feng Shui there is no place for broken household appliances. Therefore, you shouldn’t keep a toaster that doesn’t work in the closet in the hope of fixing it someday. Immediately change leaking faucets in the kitchen, they take away the well-being of your home. Treat your kitchen with love, and harmony and favorable Feng Shui will always reign in it. Main rules: 1.
According to Feng Shui, the entrance to the kitchen should not be located opposite the front door.
Otherwise, dangerous energies from outside can harm your well-being. It is not the best option if the kitchen is located at the entrance to the apartment. According to Feng Shui, this will make it easy for wealth to leave your home. Alternatively, experts recommend hanging something bright next to the kitchen door that will distract attention from the entrance to the kitchen. Wind chimes or a crystal hung over the kitchen door according to Feng Shui rules will also help correct the situation. 2.
Protrusions and height differences are not at all conducive to good kitchen feng shui.
According to Feng Shui, you should not divide the kitchen into zones using floors, podiums, steps, and ceiling beams and ledges of different levels. The ideal Feng Shui kitchen is on the same level as the rest of the rooms, and above all, the dining room. 3.
The teachings of Feng Shui advises to be wary of the contradiction of the elements of Fire and Water in the kitchen.
According to experts, a good kitchen design from a Feng Shui point of view is based on the traditional triangle model, the vertices of which are the sink, refrigerator and stove. If you adhere to this Feng Shui principle, then the different elements in your kitchen will coexist quite harmoniously. The element of Fire - that is, a stove or microwave - should not be adjacent to the elements of Water - a refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine or sink. Otherwise, there will be constant quarrels and discord in the family. Feng Shui experts advise: they can be separated by a wooden piece of furniture or a houseplant, wall tiles in greenish shades or an ornament in green-brown tones. After all, Wood is a kind of mediator between Fire and Water. 4.
In the interior of the kitchen, according to Feng Shui, preference should be given to light pastel shades of green, yellow, brown and orange or white.
And other colors work well as accents. 5.
According to Feng Shui, you should not store massive or bulky objects overhead in the kitchen and other rooms of the house.
This causes a subconscious strong feeling of anxiety and psychological discomfort. It is important to provide storage space for large kitchen utensils. If this is not an option and you still have to hang pots and pans on the wall above your head, try to store them away from where you cook or sit. 6.
Feng Shui does not recommend using mirror tiles or small decorative elements with a reflective effect in the kitchen.
They break the reflection into fragments, which means they can “break” your life. 7.
Protruding corners, sharp objects and open shelves in the kitchen, according to Feng Shui, create negative sha energy.
Therefore, in kitchen design you should avoid furniture and any “sharp” structural elements. If you have to make do with open shelves because you have a small kitchen, Feng Shui recommends keeping round storage containers on them 8.
By the way, knives, forks, scissors and other sharp metal utensils in the kitchen, according to Feng Shui rules, must be kept in a closed box.
9.
Another rule: the one who prepares the food must always immediately see the person who enters the kitchen.
This allows peace, confidence and a sense of security to reign in the house. If it is not possible to install a cutting surface opposite the front door, then you need to place a small mirror in the kitchen accordingly. 10.
If you want to diversify the design of the walls, it is better to give preference to flowers or leaves.
The secret of this choice is simple - these images will also bring positive wooden energy into the kitchen. In the kitchen you can hang paintings with views of nature, endless fields and flaming poppies, still lifes depicting ripe perfect fruits. Images of delicious and beautifully decorated dishes will also help preserve prosperity and warmth at home. Materials and tools:
- white water-based paint - color (green) - gouache - sponge - brushes (synthetic) - plate - water glass - cloth

Progress of the master class:

We begin work by tinting the furniture. Using a sponge with white water-based paint, cover the surface of the furniture for painting and leave to dry.

Then we mix the green color with white water-based paint and apply a second, light green color to the furniture. The entire painted surface must dry well before painting. Next, along the edge of the cabinet, draw a tree trunk with brown gouache, and branches in different directions (cabinet and shelf). We draw the tree bark, apply strokes of black and ocher, and blur the strokes with a wet brush. Next we will draw foliage on the tree. We will need a plate as a palette, pour water-based white paint into it. We put orange on one side of the brush, turn the brush over, and put white on the other side - we get a double-sided set of paint on the brush. And we draw with large strokes, each stroke is a leaf. If necessary, wash the brush and add colors again. We place white and orange leaves on all branches of the tree (cabinet, shelf). Next, draw yellow-white leaves and place them between the orange ones. Double-sided paint brush set. In the same way we draw white and green leaves. This drawing on the shelf and cabinet will serve as the background for the next stage of painting.

A good way to decorate, update or give elements of the furnishings a certain style is to paint furniture. From any, even the oldest interior items, you can create a unique work of art. Everything is limited only by imagination and patience.

Of course, there are no restrictions on the choice of subjects. The main factor determining suitability is the material. To implement the plan, old furniture made of wood is better suited. This is precisely where its value lies relative to modern products made from chipboard and fiberboard. “Sawdust furniture” is definitely not suitable.

A wooden surface is easier to work with. Old paint or varnish can be easily removed, various defects (chips, cracks) can be eliminated or left to give an “aging” effect. In addition, most methods of applying patterns are designed specifically for wood. Any pattern or ornament looks good under varnish on wood texture. Furniture covered with natural veneer is suitable. An example of this is an old wardrobe or chest of drawers made of multi-layer veneered plywood. After removing the old varnish or paint, the surface is primed, painted in the required color and a design is applied.

But furniture made from modern materials should not be crossed off the list. MDF facades coated with acrylic can be painted in any style after certain preparation. Acrylic coating is a layer of paint that is polished after drying. This type of coating is often used in the manufacture of kitchen facades.

Modern paints and varnishes allow them to be applied over various coatings. There are also paints designed for painting glass without special preparation.
